Irene S Pfeffer

Irene S. Pfeffer, 89, of West Palm Beach, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Irene was born August 19, 1924 in Republic, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Adam and Anna Wolfe. She graduated from Redstone High School in Republic, and began her journey of life. Living in many cities in the Northeast, Irene, along with her husband Lou, finally settled in North Palm Beach in 1977, where she became an active and devoted parishioner to St. Clare Catholic Church. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Irene is survived by her devoted husband of sixty years Louis "Lou" Pfeffer; her loving children, Maryanne (Dean) Kalman, Cindy (Bill) Perry, and Lou Pfeffer; her seven cherished grandchildren, Adam, Kelly, Jake, Brandon, Ben, Nicholas, and Emma; one sister, Mrs. Anna Tousel; and one brother, Albert Kaminsky. Irene was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Louis. She will always be remembered for her kind and gentle way.A visitation will be held today, September 27, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11;00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, at St. Clare Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, with Rev. Fr. William D. O'Shea presiding. Committal Services with entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta.
